I had no plans to join the Black Friday marathon. In fact, I bought my Sony handycam from Best Buy on Thanksgiving eve to avoid the hassles. I know today's early bird sale would not compensate for yesterday's events, which is priceless. Plus, my sleep is worth a thousand...
...until bargain-wise Leah invited me to come with her to Walmart. Well, at least it was way past my bedtime hours.
I headed straight to the furniture section because a computer desk was on my top list. Last night, browsing models from websites did not give me a clearer picture. Seeing them "off-line" would help me decide better. But the drawback - a very limited selection. I did not find the perfect shape and style I need.
So off we went to Walgreens where we bought big Hershey's (2 for a dollar, limit 2). Good enough for a chocolate-lover in me. Since Leah wanted to catch the $10-Cool Water offer, we drove and rushed to the next Walgreens . . . and then the next . . . but no luck. However, we did get a total of six Hershey's choco. And, I had a great time choosing among the $6.49-worth Revlon lipsticks bargained for just 99 cents each!
We also stopped by at Big Lots where I hoarded five branded watches on sale. But when the register showed an almost 3x-more-expensive price than what I thought it was, I left the other two on the counter. Ulk! There goes my Christmas budget...
...And then we headed home...
After my very late lunch around 2pm, Lance and I went out to pick-up Rose. We drove back to Walgreens to buy some more Revlon lipsticks only to find out that the price went back to its original price of $6.49. Shoot! I was like, What?!! The sale is over?!! No more 99-cents deal? That FAST???!!! Oh, well... It's a good thing I was able to buy TEN of them that morning. (Lipstick freak. He-he-he...)
Right after that, the three of us splurged at Target, never minding whether items were on sale or not. Just-pick-whatever-we-like mood. Besides, the Black Friday madness seemed over. We were happier after emerging handful from TWO different branches.
