I couldn't count how many times I've been left alone in the office after 5. On July 25th, my first time in, I knew I'm gonna spend some time (everyday) waiting for Lance to pick me up right after his work. That's his time out plus traffic hours (or minutes). Sounds pathetic, huh! I felt so stupid as people whom I didn't know well (and didn't consider as my friends yet) went downstairs and asked what was goin' on. Nothing much, just waiting for my ride...blah-blah-blah...as I "paste" a (cheery) smile on my face. Inside, it's a lil bit depressing especially when I needed an after-work rest. You say, sit down? Well, I dint want 'em ta c me sit on d stairs. I'll look even more stupid.
Today, I can either wait downstairs or do the blog thing, which is kinda cool. But of course, I gotta make sure there's at least another co-worker left somewhere who would lock our doors afterwards. This time, there's Jim (P) on the other wing who's willing to wait until Lance arrives. Yesterday, there was the other Jim (D) who played Santa and left bags of goodies to "selected" computer chairs. He said his wife does the gifts for the girls. But how come he walked into Dan's room? ...I presume they're for the bosses, too. The girls and boss(es). Ooh, I like the sound of that. More like the birds and the bees.
Well, anyway... I got a bagful of "girly" Christmas treats from Mr. D and his family. Sweet!!!
