After spending lunchtime at my cousin's home in Glendale, we headed to Griffith Park in Los Feliz. The weather was perfect for another practice shoot. We parked beside the wooden fence where other cars were lined up. As I readied my lens, he complained about the light being harsh. Then he got off the car for a quick cigarette. I really didn't mind about the light. All I cared about was my time away from home with a camera on my hands, err, his hands with me on focus...
There, over the fence is a group of people having a picnic-party. Children were playing and so my daughter itched to cross over there.
We continued to walk farther while hubby went on and on and on taking pictures on the same angle. I'd say they were all redundant. But it wasn't that frustrating as he was practicing. I was modeling - bokeh-modeling, if there was such a term. I'm good at it, actually. I don't have to put make-up on and dress up. I'm just a blur slowly walking away from the camera. And so, as Sophia and I reached that tree at the very end, it was my turn to shoot...
My little one seemed tired and getting sleepy here. This was supposed to be her afternoon nap and I took it from her. Mommy bird felt free when she got out of her cage - enjoying times like these. Poor girl, I thought.
Mom, I don't understand why these leaves fell down when it's still summer.

Is this autumn, Mom, when leaves crowd on the ground and make a crunching sound?

I should have brought her ball, I thought. She's going to get jealous with those kids. I don't think those little strangers are going to play with her neither. But then again, hmm... maybe not. Most kids are usually welcoming.
While hubby was focusing on the wooden fence, we were aiming at the other side. I didn't want to get out of that spot because I was playing bokeh with hubby. So, I tried to help Sophia climb over the fence, which was a silly thing to do.
Well, it didn't really happen as you can see...We continued to walk farther while hubby went on and on and on taking pictures on the same angle. I'd say they were all redundant. But it wasn't that frustrating as he was practicing. I was modeling - bokeh-modeling, if there was such a term. I'm good at it, actually. I don't have to put make-up on and dress up. The weather looks fine, doesn't it? It is that time when the season is merely transitioning. Summer, slowly heading out the door. Autumn, shyly coming in. Sophia wears one of her backless dresses she got from Nanay. I should've not worn a white shirt under that black Bebe apron blouse.Well, kidding. The cool wind will hurt my back. What can you say about my shades with a touch of orange? Doesn't it look stupid? (LOL!) It's from MySpace, by the way. Yeah, MySpace, the company/website. I used to sit beside this MySpace guy who gets flooded with expense reports all the timehe gets sick. (Haha! Kidding!) I wonder what's happening there now?
Anyway, what I was trying to say here was we had fun. The weather was permitting. We were all ok. No diaper change. No tantrums. No hassles . . . until . . . something unexpected came up on times like these...
Below are the last three photos I took . . . before hubby saw the parking enforcers putting a ticket on his windshield!!!

Bummer about the ticket but those pictures are beautiful. Love the editing and texture on the shot of her watching the kids.
Lovely photographs! Growing up my mom would take us to that park also! My favorite part was the carousal and the pony rides. Also the train museum and the zoo of course :)
