The first time I saw the stop motion picture, Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie, I instantly fell in love with it.It was probably two years ago when I chanced upon this beautifully composed video. On that time, over 13 million had already enjoyed every frame while I was just beginning to express my wonderment... Pure genius, I thought.
Today, I thought of taking another peek of this 2009 Grammy Award nominee's brainchild and found out fans tried to copy it. I watched all three mimics, which are all embed below (plus a Lavie-inspired commercial.) Nothing came close simply because they're frames are not as many. To me, nothing beats the original. I give props, however, to version recreacion. Even the reflected window is there.
Here is the original Her Morning Elegance (in case you're not one of the 20,306,672 viewers as of 09/13/11). Below that is behind the scenes, which I was so eager to watch, too. Then there's the Israeli singer-songwriter-playwright-theater-director himself (gasp) performing at Jimmy Kimmel Live. I finished watching and the music lingered. I still heard the piano and xylophone in my head as I typed my words. A dreamy beautiful song...
