I got hooked (like I always do) on this Disney channel movie - Now, You See It. It's a about a boy magician, Danny, who later discovered he was a wizard. Ha! Isn't that very common in Disney? They're good at fantasy as well as twins and doubles, like the young Lindsey Lohan in Parent Trap. Well, I must admit I do enjoy kid shows. It brings out the child in me. Plus, I love the girls' outfit there. Alyson Michalka, who stars in Now, You See it, always looks cute on her layered clothes and colorful hair accessories.
It may sound funny to you but I've been (or still am) a fan of Disney. I've seen the beginnings of Hannah Montana up to the point Miley Cyrus was climbing up. It's not just her I enjoyed watching. Even Raven and Zach & Cody's reruns still made me laugh. Yeah, corny, you say. I even posted a blog and entitled it Read It But (Not) Weep. Um-hmm. Another Disney channel movie.
Sophia's first glimpse of telly was Disney, as far as I remember. We have video clips of her dancing to Hannah's opening song and the Jonas Brothers. She also slept with Kid's music via cable tv. Cable is also where she got her first glimpse of fear - an image of a weird looking frog with big teeth and uneven eyes - the biggest she has ever seen. Axel F, that is. I just hum his tune and she starts crying already. Until now, she is disgusted of frogs. She doesn't even want to see little cutie Kermit of Sesame Street.
Talk about blogging, I've been a blogger since December 2004. I was then a 3-month-old newbie who moved to Virginia Beach from the Philippines. Unemployed, homesick and bored, I found relief in blogging. My ultimate inspiration? Carrie Bradshaw of Sex And The City. I blogged through Friendster as it's the only network I belonged to and the only medium I ever knew. So naive, I was even amazed by the fact that I could keep my diary online. It was mere self-expression. Nothing more. Just to see my fingers play and hear them tapping on our very first laptop was pure delight. I never ever knew there was such thing as blogosphere. Whenever I got stranger adds, I brushed them off wondering why they were doing it. I blogged for me and if my friends(ters) comment, thank you. Then I stopped for 16 months... Three years past... Tsk-tsk-tsk... If I should have know about networking, I would have probably been famous (or rich) by now! (Hmm, maybe...)
I was supposed to visit my doctor;
but an "f-force" has stopped me.
I was supposed to fold clean laundry;
but a different plan has unfolded.
I was supposed to do our grocery;
but I only wrote down a list with a crayon.
I was supposed to sweep our floor;
and, of course, I WILL 'cause it's easy!
Last year, when I was just coming back to blogging, I stumbled upon a photo that linked to someone's photostream. I was deeply amazed about her images and those people who commented on them. She was famous, I thought. She might had been an Indian celebrity or perhaps a princess. Seriously, I was so green. I followed her everyday and watched how people added comments every minute. Wow! Even her blog was being populated. I was like, who is she? Clearly, she was a princess. Then, little by little, I discovered more people equally popular.
So, this is what they call internet community! Why didn't I educate myself about that in the first place?!! All the while, wary about scary news and views, I thought it's not totally safe online. I was careful about bumping into something or someone. I surfed but never communicated with anyone outside my personal circle. My Flickr experience changed all that. I realized sharing is not just for family and friends. There are cool strangers you can befriend, at least, online. Aside from Bradshaw, Flickrdom is where I find another inspiration, too. It seriously introduced me to photography and Photoshop.
Then here is Blogger . . . a new world that I am yet to travel...!!!

I thank you so much for all the comments you write on my blog, I honestly look forward to them and thank you for your sympathy and your advice.
it means alot. one blogger to another
The concert was touching in so many ways that I didn't even imagine possible. I know that music can be powerful, and how sometimes it only takes a single song to get you through a hard time, but this was more than words can describe. It's definitely something I'll remember forever :)
And I agree. I'm in college and my roommate and I still watch the Disney Channel on a weekly basis. It's nice to know that there are still shows on TV that aren't filled with guts and blood and profanity. Not that that's a problem, but it's nice to laugh at stupid corny jokes and feel like a kid again by watching movies like Halloweentown or Ratatouille.
And thank you so so much for the comments on my last few posts. It's wonderful to know that someone out there is taking time out to read the little bits of rambling about my life :D
Oh, my goodness, you guys! We can watch Disney together! Frankly, I was a bit ashamed when I typed this last night. But I said to myself, So what? It's my blog - my own little virtual world I control. Then here you are telling me the same things. Hahaha! I'm very pleased to read your comments here... :)

When Hannah Montana was a new show, my daughter and I used to watch it together, and I loved it. There were many times I laughed and cried while sitting there with my daughter. Good memories!
